My two pre-ordered SU SAB sets finally came today! I thought I'd share a baby card with you tonight. (I justified ordering this set for the baby stamp in it. . . ) The focal image is stamped in Blue Bayou ink on Stamper's Select White cardstock. Because I don't have the coordinating scalloped punch, I used my Spellbinders Nestability Plain and Classic Scalloped dies to cut the focal image and the little So Saffron scalloped mat behind it.
I started to cut separate layers for the sky and the "sweet one" banner, then it occurred to me that since my Copic Markers are not water-based, I might just be able to color with over the Blue Bayou ink without smearing it. What do you know--it worked! I used a Booo and a YR31 here. The one part that is cut out and mounted is the moon, which is stamped in So Saffron ink, cut out, glued down, then coated in Diamond Stickles. The white ribbon is SU's white taffeta, and the white pearl in the center of the knot came from Ellen's store. For the background, I used Soft Sky ink on Soft Sky cardstock to ink the Nursery Letters jumbo wheel.
Finished card size is 6-1/2" x 3-1/4", which fits in SU's small tag envelope. (I really like that size.) Thank you for visiting!
