Simple Little Things Birthday

Ptannivset3This weekend I needed another guy card and remembered one that I'd started last week and put away pending the arrival of my new ribbon tag dies. I used the PaperTrey Anniversary set, Simple Little Things. (This set is not available for purchase, but could be earned with twelve different purchases during the year.) I love its  small graphic images for making background papers, and I like the variety and size of the sentiments as well.  I used the same stamp for both the background and the most of the focal image,  coloring in the focal image with my Copic markers (YG11, and YG03). The center image is embossed in detail white embossing powder on black cardstock, then colored with the same Copic markers.

I'm not quite sure about the black mini brads in the corners! They are a bit distracting, I now think, though it seemed like a good idea at the time. . . I used an Iridescent Swarovski Crystal in the center of the black round shape. Ribbon is PaperTrey Ink's Spring Moss grosgrain, paired with a 1/8" wide black grosgrain from Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks for visiting, and have a lovely day!

This is sooooo elegant and beautiful!!! You do all the masculine stuff so well and any guy would love to get this card. I'm loving your new header....not sure when it changed, but it's fabulous.

Debbie, this card is wonderful! The colour, the layout, the stamps! Wow!

A WOW card indeed! Gorgeous work Debbie.

I love this! Ahhh! How I wish I'd been a stamper before. LOL!

Absolutely a handsome guy card!!! Love it!

Very pretty! A great card for a guy or gal! I like the brads in the corner!

It's beautiful as is. didn't even notice the brads until you mentioned them!

Beautiful! Very appropriate for a guy. I have to make a guy card this week, and I think I'll pull out my Simple Little Things. Definitely like what you did with it...as always! TFS! {{smiles}}

Beautiful, indeed! I just won this set on blog candy and I can't wait to play!

oooo' I love how you make simple cards look SO elegant! Love your new banner too!!!

What a neat card, great colors! I don't mind the looks of the mini brads in the corners, but when the space is so tight I get problems to have that layer glue flat onto the next layer. Always having issues with brads too close to the edge, even if it glues initially, it will lift off a few days later.

Oh this is just great! I love your colors and the design is wonderful! I just got my anniv set - can't wait to try it out! :)

Love this masculine card! I have this set and need ideas on how to use those pretty circles! thanks for the inspiration Debbie!

this is, well, it's just perfect!

this is so pretty, love that stamp and the shade of green that you used.

Lovely card! Love the colors you used to make the flowery stuff look more masculine.

Can you please stop rubbing it on us, that we can't buy this set? LOL!

Just kidding, I didn't even know something like that existed until almost February.

This is great! I love the simplicty of the design...it's amazing what you can do with just two stamps! Beautiful.

Charmaine
