Good Tidings!
Big day--I got three cards made! Tonight I'm sharing a simple one, a little bird singing with all its heart. I chose two of the new Rubber Soul images, Good Tidings and Song Bird, along with Meadow's Edge paper and an aqua cardstock base. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then colored with Copic markers in BG11, BG32, YG03, and Y00. Then I used my Copic airbrush system to spray just a hint of sky behind the bird with BG11. Since I planned to airbrush very lightly, I didn't need to mask my image. (That made the airbrushing part take about five seconds.)
I stamped the tag and gave it a hint of airbrushed background as well, to tie it into the bird and add a bit of interest. Twill is PaperTrey Ink's Aqua Mist. I used Spellbinders dies from the square, long rectangle, and tag trio sets; the embossed edges add to a layered look but keep a card simple.Finished card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
Have a lovely day!
P.S. In case you are wondering, I am still adding names to the Blogs to Browse page. I haven't forgotten--life just demands some attention now and then. Thanks for your patience.
Even though the design is very simple, but the card looks lovely!
