I'm excited to be able to share some of what I've been busy playing with over the past several days--the newest additions to the PaperTrey Ink line! First is a little gift ensemble using the Holiday Tags set--so versatile that I can see myself using it for many future projects--and Heather's Snowfall and Snowfall Additions sets. I chose the snowflake tag and some Cosmo Cricket Be Good paper, along with kraft and vanilla cardstock. For the box I used one of Lauren Meader's fabulous new Timeless Templates--Music Makeover.
Inside the box I have a large glittered snowflake ornament, made from two thick layers of chipboard (cut with a Sizzix Bigz die) covered in patterned paper, coated with Royal Coat Decoupage Medium, and then glittered while the medium was still wet. The smaller snowflake was cut with the Marvy Snowflake punch that PTI is now carrying (the blue one). The center snowflake is a shankless button that I found online at buttonsgalore.com, and the pearls are self-adhesive. I would love to get several of these made for our tree!
Next, I'd like to share my recipe box created with one of the PTI egg boxes and the two new Recipe Box stamp sets. For this one I chose some Pink Paislee papers (Spring Fling Collection) that just happened to contain colors that coordinated with several of the PTI colors. (The colors are slightly off in the picture, even after editing.) I can see using the Recipe Box and Recipe Box Label sets for gifts, when I get a chance to make them!
Finally, I'd like to share a piece that I made with a couple of Heather's sets, Warm Happiness and the Snowfall sets. I created a little card with a box built into the front cover. See the marshmallows? Those are made with white Liquid Applique. The front of the cup is stamped twice and raised to make room for the marshmallows. **I am working on a template that I will share in pdf form as soon as I finish--probably Wednesday or Thursday night.** Finished size of this card is 6-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 1/2" thick. The ribbon slips off to let the card open and reveal a windowed box that is sized to fit the long, tall packets of hot cocoa mix. What do you think? What else would fit in there? I had fun with this one!
I hope you have a wonderful day; thank you for visiting!
