Follow That Star!

Photo_removed_6 I love making Christmas cards! As I was happily playing with my new Cosmo Cricket Oh Joy patterned papers, ornament covers, and buck-naked ornaments (chipboard that coordinates with the die-cut patterned paper) this weekend, I happened upon the star. Ding! An idea--how about pairing it with the star sentiment from PaperTrey Ink's Silent Night set? I embossed the sentiment in Filigree Detail White embossing powder and added a bit of stitching, as well as a border punched with a Fiskars Threading Water punch. I used sanding blocks to distress all of the edges, then mounted my card front on PaperTrey Vintage Ivory cardstock--perfect for cards with heavier embellishments because it is thick enough to support them. It's a simple card, but I was happy with it. :-)

Have a great weekend!
