Thanks So Much: CPS Sketch 97

Cps97_cc_pti_do1dtl

Tonight's fare is lightly stamped, mostly papered. When I saw Tami's CPS Sketch 97 for this week, I knew that it would be a perfect layout to showcase some of my Cosmo Cricket chipboard and button covers. I chose chipboard and papers from the Hello Sunshine line; I don't see the 8" x 8" pad on this page, but it was what I used. I especially like it because of the die cut edge on the whole pad--a really fun design feature to incorporate!

I covered two of the chipboard buttons with the Hello Sunshine button covers, then cut the smaller button in half to fit with the sketch. I sanded all exposed edges and then bumped the center of the flower up with foam tape for a bit more dimension. The thanks so much tag is from PaperTrey Ink's Mixed Messages set, and the inside sentiment is from PaperTrey's Heartfelt Basics set. Button is Autumn Leaves, and ribbon is the 1" wide Arctic White silk  from StarLitStudio. The black rick-rack is cut from black cardstock using a Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, and the small tag is cut with a Spellbinders Double ended tags die. Finished size of this card is 3-1/4" x 6-1/2", folded.

I would like to wish each one of you a healthy and Happy New Year!

P.S. I just wanted to mention that here will be a fun contest starting here on January 5--if you love dies, you won't want to miss out! More details here.

Happy New Year. May you have health, happiness and peace in 2009. I appreciate the fact that you used the chipboard buttons. I bought them from Ellen and have been looking at them every since thinking they are to big for a card. Thanks for proving me wrong.
