This Pie in the Window image is my favorite from Karen Lockhart's last release; mmmmm--I can almost smell it! I chose my Copic markers (shown below in two rows) based on the colors in the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers (Cherry Pie and Sunrise) that I paired with the image. (In that line-up, you'll see four of the new pale Copic colors--love them!--and two of the new Spica colors, Buttermilk and Mint, a pale green.) Ribbon is PaperTrey ink's Pure Poppy Stitched Grosgrain, stained with just a sponged distress ink in order to tone the pure white stitching down a bit.
I'm including a close-up, but you'd better not look too closely or you'll see some mistakes. I didn't realize they were there until the 3" image filled my wide screen--yikes!
I hope you had a great weekend. We've been busy with family fun, including sleepovers in my son's playhouse--umm, camp. . . Must be a man-thing. ;-D Not needing to be tough, I'm ordering an air mattress. Thank you for visiting!

Gorgeous!! Mistakes? You are crazy girl! And yeah...go for the air mattress. Let the boys be tough.

I do LOVE that image---I think it's a little too much coloring for this novice, however!! What a great, simple layout---it's an "ahhhh" card as soon as you see it!

How adorable is this! Oh my gosh Debbie, I love everything about this, the colors, the design, the ribbon, oh so sweet!!!

Error, what error?! I just colored in my pie in window stamp too and did it the same way, different colors though. Hmmmm..... your card is beautiful Debbie!

Oh my! I think this is my favorite card you've made now! I love the poppies and pie in the window. The colors you choose are always so perfect.
I love the golden glow from inside that just says "come in and sit a spell".

Thanks!! This is by far one of the prettiest cards you've ever done ~ love it! I was UP there last week. Stayed in Iron Mtn, then went on UP to Copper Harbor where it was a balmy 41 degrees with a nice northwesterly wind and sputtering rain. Left and went on over to the bread lady's house the next day and watched her bake wild huckleberry pies (your pie card gave me some warm fuzzies). May come back UP by myself (the bf was along) later this month. And get that air matress. We had planned to do some tent camping (he has cots), but agreed that the cold AND wet made it a foolish notion. Pamper yourself; you're worth it.

It's gorgeous, Debbie!! Not only is your coloring fabulous but your stitching is perfect!!! Love the layered scalloped edge and the pretty ribbon.

I think the card is beautiful. I don't see any errors at all. Been thinking about ordering this stamp and since Ellen just got the new Copics in, I may have to do that. I think you are very brave to even camp with an air mattress. Me, give me an RV or hotel room and I will be there. Even an air mattress couldn't convince me to sleep on the ground anymore.

I got a closeup of your picture and could not for the life of me find a mistake. One of my mottos is "Embrace Imperfection". And that's only because I'm usually the only one that sees my mistakes. Beautiful work!

Hi Debbie, so sorry I haven't commented in so long! I've been so busy! I've read every post though! I love this card. So cheery and homey! Since you mentioned it, I enlarged the pic to see your 'mistakes'. Seriously? They were so tiny! Nobody is perfect and I'm sure that any colouring job, no matter how good it looks IRL will show some tiny errors when enlarged many times!!! I'm always pointing out my mistakes on my blog and now that I read your critique of yourself, maybe I won't be so hard on myself. You need to just love what you do even if it isn't perfect and so do I!

Debbie,
Oh Yeah, like WE could find what you call mistakes in your work!! Now that's a laugh!
Hey, there's an idea for your next contest. You say, "Whoops, I made 2 mistakes on this card, can you find them?" The winner will be chosen from all the correct answers. Well, maybe that was not such a good idea after all. Like I said, WE CAN'T FIND THEM!! Keep up the good work Debbie. Linda S. in NE
