This week's CPS157 sponsor is JustRite Stampers. While I was working on my CPS card for this week, I couldn't decide which set I wanted to use. So this is the extra card; I'll share my "official" one later this week.
For this card I used the 1-5/8" Seeds of Kindness Borders and Centers set, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Vanilla embossing powder onto PaperTrey's Pure Poppy cardstock. (I left the border off because I wanted the sentiment to be small enough in scale to be believable as a flower center.) Flowers are die-cut with a Spellbinders nested flower die, and sentiment is cut with a Plain Classic Circle die.
Papers are Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety, mostly from the Mini Deck, with the strip of green paper being from the 12" x 12" sheets. For the grass and stems, I affixed a piece of Scotch foam tape to the back of the green patterned paper, then used my Carl Cutter to trim thin strips. They are totally backed with foam tape to keep them raised above the level of the rest of the green paper. The little starburst shape in the center of the two side flowers is an older Stampin' Up punch; I'm not sure if it's retired now or available still.
This week's CPS 157 sketch was fun and simple--I hope you get a chance to play along.
P.S. The JustRite 1-5/8" sets are ALL on sale this week for 20% off--just thought I'd do a bit of enabling. ;-}
