It's that time again--Papertrey Release night! I'm packing to head to Minneapolis tomorrow for a Copic Certification class and then demo-ing Copic markers at Scrapfest, but I wanted to get at least a couple more of my September release pieces on the blog tonight. If I get a chance I'll post the last of them tomorrow.
I love patterned trees--especially ones with great typography on them! Beth Silaika's Trees with Trimmings set filled the bill. I paired it with some PTI 2009 Bitty Dot Basics and Holiday Vintage Prints papers, along with some PTI cream felt that I had cut with pinking shears. I could see making several of these as Christmas cards, though I might simplify the layering a bit if I do. I used some Spellbinders Plain Rectangle Nestabilities for both the tree frame and the sentiment below it.
I also love the classic simplicity and versatility of Nichole's Wreath for All Seasons set. I paired it with some Rustic Snowflakes paper and natural twill. This is another easily reproducible card. The only mailing challenge would be the button. I might switch out buttons for epoxy stickers over a different patterned piece from the same paper pad; that would be thinner--less than the 1/4" USPS regulation thickness certainly. Here I used a Plain Circle Nestability to cut and emboss my wreath image.
All ingredients are listed in my Papertrey Ink Gallery here.
That's it for tonight. Lori Craig and I hope to see some of you at either the Copic Certification Class in Eden Prairie, the Stamp Garden Class, or Scrapfest--outside Archivers at the Mall of America!
