Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. Sympathy cards are sometimes a challenge to make, not something that any of us generally plan ahead for. Still, it's important for people to know that you care, and taking time to make something-whether it is a card or a meal or even a phone call--is one way to show that you care.
I chose JustRite's Sympathy Nested Sentiments set for my focal sentiment, cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Petite Ovals and matted with a Labels Fourteen die template. For the card base, I used a Grand Labels One. Hint: If you are trying to cut cleanly through two thicknesses of cardstock, i.e., a card base, try using a thinner cardstock. I used Neenah Natural White here, which is a lighter weight cardstock than the cream cardstock that I usually use for a card base. Papers are Cosmo Cricket's new Circa 1934 papers, shown here on the blog. I also used part of a Zva Creative black rhinestone flourish (CRB-03CA-114. Here is a similar one that I found in stock.)
Do you need to make a card for a friend? JustRite has a Show Your Support blog challenge going on this week if you happen to get one made. Have a fabulous day!
