Yesterday we went to a most beautiful little hill town, Civita di Bagnoregio. It was my favorite town yet! (Yes, I guess I have said that before a time or two. . . ) Citiva is perched, seemingly precariously, on a rock hilltop. It has about sixteen full time residents, and about sixty residents during tourist season. Every little street had new and wonderful discoveries.
Look at this view. How could you not want to live here? Oh, and even though a donkey or something similar brings provisions in over that bridge, they have 3G in most of the town. . . (At home I still have only Edge coverage, and only 1 or 2 bars.)
So, being hundreds of years old, it isn't all in the best of shape, but even the parts in disrepair are lovely.
After Civita, we had a picnic lunch at Lake Bosena.
Sorry for the poor white balance on the sketches above, but I miss my computer. . . Yes, I have been sketching landscapes too, not just food; but I still need to either color or paint the latest ones. (Ignore the wonky tower in the corner of the Danish.) Did I mention that I also miss my GRAY markers? I could have used about five different values of warm gray on this trip. I brought one. One. Sheesh. . . (Both sketches above are in Copic multiplier and Copic markers.)
That's all for now--thank you for visiting!
