Welcome! I am tickled pink to be in Rome for a couple of days and wanted to share a few pictures with you. Today we went through all of the Vatican Museums. I saw more famous art than I have ever seen before in one day, including the Sistine Chapel (in which you are not supposed to take photographs). Pretty amazing. . .
More of the Vatican art
As much as the formal art, however, I love the twisting, turning, colorful architecture. Alleys are my favorite areas to snap a picture, so far!
That's Ken, our fearless leader. Yes, I have only back shots because I am usually at the end of the procession taking pictures. . .
Finally, I love taking food pictures! Italians must understand that presentation is an art--beautiful things taste better. Breakfast this morning for three of us, along with a great cup of cappuccino. . .
I didn't get to eat this, but it was sitting outside a restaurant to entice people to come in. I could easily have been convinced! I put the picture above into iPhoto on my iPad and used an artistic filter on it, shown below. I think that would look great on the wall of my kitchen, don't you?
Thank you for visiting and sharing a few bits and pieces of Rome with me!
