Welcome! I have more pictures to share. We were in Spoleto on Friday, Orvieto Saturday, and Marmore Falls this afternoon. I had already shared some Spoleto photos on my last post, but I had one quick watercolor from Spoleto that I finished this afternoon. The image is really small, about 3" x 5". I am not a water colorist, but one of the class participants is amazing with watercolors, and she's been making me want to try that medium again.

Orvieto is the home to a fabulous cathedral. My pictures of that do not do it justice, but this little window shot is taken from just outside the cathedral. I am obsessing over windows here; they have so much character!
Marmore Waterfalls is an amazing manmade waterfall, begun in about the third century B.C. and improved over the centuries. It is the largest waterfall in Europe and provides hydroelectric power for Terni, the home of La Romita.
This was my quick sketch (maybe fifteen minutes at the falls and another five or so back at La Romita). I sketched with a W2 marker, and then at the very end added a few pen lines. It's loose and quick, but that's a sketch. . .

This window was in Spoleto, outside the restaurant where we ate lunch. I spent about 15 minutes on a pencil sketch, then came back and obsessed for far too long over those iron grills. I asked someone to smack me if I ever do that again!
I will try to post more pictures soon. My iPad battery is almost dead. Thank you for visiting!
