Welcome! I am back from Italy and trying to get my month's ducks in a row now. We are homeschooling again this year, so my husband and son started school without me; that means that Mom needs to play catch up with our new curriculum now that I'm home. I have boxes of new stamps and papers awaiting play time, however, and I plan to make time for those too! I had a few cards finished that I had intended to post while I was in Italy, but since my iPad and Typepad did not play nicely together, I can share one of those cards today. Do you like shaker cards? I like interactive cards; it's hard to resist playing with a shaker card.
The ornament that I stamped for the base of the shaker is from JustRite's Noel Christmas Ornaments set, cut out with a Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Dies die template. I used a JustRite custom die, Antique Labels One, to cut the center of the shaker. The transparent window sheet is sandwiched right behind the stamped ornament, and then foam tape strips surround the perimeter of the window to contain the shaker material.
I used the same 2012 Heirloom Ornaments die to cut the layer on which I stamped my sentiment as well, knowing that then I could simply align the top and bottom ornaments when I was ready to put the shaker pieces together. Self-adhesive pearls are from Zva Creative. I hand trimmed the ornament top after stamping it in Versamark and heat-embossing it with detail gold embossing powder. That's it for today--thank you for visiting!
