Enhanced Denim Texture Tutorial on the CLASSroom

EH_Wk3_DO1k Good morning!  I have a tutorial up for creating an enhanced jeans texture on the CLASSroom blog today, if you're still looking for Father's Day card ideas. It uses a CHF Denim backgrounder, white gel pen, a ruler/piercing template and piercing tool, a white Prismacolor pencil, and three Copic markers. It's easy-peasy too!

Stamping Public Service Announcements

Remember the Card for Heroes Memorial Day blog hop? Swarovski Crystals is partnering with CFH to try to get 30,000 cards signed for troops. In fact, if you are near one of their stores, you could sign a card, complete with crystal bling. Learn more about it here. Also, here is a link to a locator to see if you are near a store.

Next, Kimberly Schofield and Julie Masse have teamed up to bring you a Stamping Around event coming up in Connecticut on July 10-11. If you live in or would be visiting the area at that time, you might want to check out this informational blog. Future venues are Vermont and Philadelphia. These sound like a lot of fun!

Finally, tomorrow, June 22, Spellbinders has a Blog Frenzy starting at Becca Feeken's blog, Amazing Paper Grace. I'm sure that Becca will have something fabulous to share. Prizes are involved, and if you want to win the grand prize, you'll need to be hopping from June 22 through June 29. Good luck!

English Daisies on the CLASSroom Blog

EKWk2_LKH_DO1a

Good morning! I have a step-by-step Copic coloring tutorial of the Lockhart English Daisy image posted on the CLASSroom blog today.

Don’t forget that PaperTrey Ink’s June release is at midnight, EST tonight. I’m hoping to be at the release party IF my internet is working. In true Murphy’s Law form, my satellite receiver seems to have gone bad just after its warranty expired. . .

Altered Tag Card and Envelope

EH_Wk1_DO7 I have this experimental manila tag card and altered envelope posted on the CLASSroom Blog today, along with process thoughts and pictures.  It was one of those "start with pretty things and see what happens" cards--you know the kind, right? (The card slides into the top of the envelope, so the front of the envelope is decorated, while the card remains mostly free for writing.)

Thank you for visiting, and have a lovely Sunday!

Felt with the Heart

EH_Resist_CH_DO1d A blessed Sunday morning to you!  I have the card on the left  posted on the CLASSroom blog today with stepped-out process pictures. It's a stamp-y card--no patterned papers involved. Feel free to check it out if you are in a technique mood today.

Thanks for visiting, and if you haven't already signed up, don't forget about the giveaway below from Marianne Walkerin honor of her first blogiversary!

This, That, and the Other

EPWk2_RubOns_DOdtl A beautiful Sunday morning to you! I hadn't intended to post again this weekend, but I have a couple of pieces up in different places today and thought that I would at least link to them.

First is a creative use of rub-ons challenge on the Emma's Paperie Blog.  Since this is only my second or third time using rub-ons, I'm not sure that it was especially creative, but it was definitely fun! There are some fabulous pieces posted--you'll want to scroll down to see ALL of them!

EH_Clasrm_DO3dSecond, I have a little canvas and grungepaper piece up on the CLASSroom blog  today, with step-by-step explanation. The background was more creative than the grungepaper flowers, probably, but I do like grungepaper. It's like grungeboard, but thin enough to die-cut with a chemically etched die--hmmmm. . . I have a few of those! ;-D

Thank you for stopping by.

Lilacs in a Pitcher

EH_Lilacs_DO1dtl2 I mentioned that my little violet card from Saturday had a sister card; this is the sister. If you would like to watch me color the image with Copic markers, I have a two-part video posted on the CLASSroom today. (I'm still really struggling with my camera settings--perhaps it's time for a regular camcorder instead of my FLIP, which I can't get focused well on a close-up image.)

Have a lovely day!

Embossed Polished Stone on the CLASSroom

EH_PolishedPaisley_CHF_DO1d Today I have a card posted on the CLASSroom blog; I had been playing with my Copic Ink Refills and polished stone again, and added a little twist with heat embossing. After I figured out what not to do, it was a fun little  experiment.

Have a lovely day!
