Tropical Big Blooms
I promise that I will move on to another set for my next post! Big Blooms reverts to its natural style on these two cards--same colors, just different shapes and layout. One is Square, 5" x 5", and the next is A-2 sized, 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I used Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White card stock; and I used Cameo Coral, Cool Caribbean, and Old Olive inks. The background is a Fiskars texture plate that I got from All That Scraps. I think this is my favorite one in the set! I am so loving texture; Not much could be nicer on a card than painless dry-embossing. (U.S. Shipping is free over $10 from All That Scraps--got to love that!) Black gingham and mini brads are SU. Chipboard tag was cut with a Sizzix small tag die, and I also used an SU ticket corner punch. Grass is stamped with the upside down flower stem.
I hope you have a delightful Easter weekend!
Edited to Add: Several of you have e-mailed me to ask how to use the Fiskars Texture plates with a Cuttlebug or Big Shot. I do not have a Cuttlebug, but it should work with the same "sandwich" that Big Shot texture plates work with. On my Big Shot, I started with the large white cutting pad, then added the texture plate, the card stock misted lightly with water, the rubber piece, and then one to three sheets of fun foam (whatever would fit), and finally one clear cutting pad. It really is an experiment--do what works for you. Misting the card stock is necessary to get any kind of depth, however. Hope this helps!
