Why Baroque Motifs again? Because I'm stressing over Pick a Petal at the moment! Yes, this is very similar to yesterday's card; I started this one last night and decided to finish it tonight and let Pick a Petal get some sleep. . .
I used Shimmery White card stock as a base, and a strip of River Rock. Why use Groovy Guava today? Because I don't really like orange. And if I can like this color, I know that I'll love them all. Guess what? I DO! It's a very nice muted orangey-light-rust. Both Blush Blossom ink and Really Rust ink look good with it as lighter and darker tints. For ink colors I used River Rock (which I like better than Sahara Sand), Blush Blossom, Groovy Guava, and Really Rust. I used my Sakura Stardust Gel pen to highlight some of the swirls, and I used some clear Hero Arts rhinestones for flower centers. I used some Fiskars scalloping scissors to trim the bottom edge, which I then stamped and lined in River Rock. I decided that since an anniversary involves two people, two large overlapping flowers would be appropriate.
I think my favorite thing about this set is that it can be as simple or as intricate as you wish, and it works either way. This is a great set! Tomorrow I'll try to conquer Pick a Petal again. And I have more new rubber that came today. . . If only a day had more than 24 hours!
