Tonight I pulled out one of my Wordsworth sets, True Love. I love the dramatic swoop of these two stick figures. I still can't fathom how an illustrator can get so much life into stick figures. Mine never looked this good!
I colored this couple with my Copic markers, then went back and added some Prismacolor pencil on the top layer. Markers used were: BG72, BG 49, R14, R20, E00, E21, W2, Booo, Y000, and 0. The Booo was airbrushed with a Copic Airbrush System into the background after I masked off the figures. I had ric-rac that I loved, but it wasn't quite the right shade. It needed to be a bit more green and less blue. I tried coloring a small piece with three different markers, and when they dried I found that coloring the Y000 on top of my pale aqua ric rac made it the perfect color! The shadow is airbrushed; I used the SU small oval punch to punch a mask from Eclipse paper, then airbrushed W2 (warm light gray) through the hole.
I used my Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped rectangle dies to cut and mat the focal image, as well as to help mask for airbrushing the background. Patterned paper is Basic Grey Blush, and mini brads are SU. You can't really tell from the photo, but I used some Ranger Glossy Accents on the roses to make them pop a bit. Here's to true love!
