Tonight I pulled out Stem Silhouettes again. I was determined to use Wild Wasabi, which I had tried and bombed with last week. Hmmm. I'm still in doubt . . . I switched to Basic Gray and Real Red, both of which I love, and that worked better. Background is Well-Worn Words stamped on Basic Gray card stock in Basic Gray ink. Stems are in Basic Gray with tops filled in with a Real Red marker. I used Circle of Friendship to get a sentiment on front, and matted it with a Real Red mat cut with one of my Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Scalloped circle dies. Ribbon is Gray taffeta--lovely stuff!
Edited to add: A couple of you have asked about the knot. I was looking for a different way to add ribbon rather than my regular way of wrapping it all the way around a layer. I just tied a single knot in the end of a length of ribbon and used a mini glue dot to hold it in place--simple!
Because my sister walked in and rescued the Wild Wasabi version, I reluctantly finished it and am sharing that one as well. Background stamp is Aida cloth, paired with another stamp from Stem Silhouettes. The "for you" is from All Holidays. I used a red Spica glitter pen to touch up the red dots/blossoms on both cards to add a little extra sheen. Ribbon is Wild Wasabi stitched grosgrain. (Yes, that's why I have to use Wild Wasabi! I bought the matching ribbon and want to use it before it retires!)
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Thanks for visiting!
