We made it home safely late this afternoon, and I've been stamping like a madwoman tonight. I'm still working on some assignments that I had hoped to have finished before we ever left last week. . . Tonight I found out that I was allowed to share a sneak peek of one of the finished ones though--woohoo!
It will soon be time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Thomas Kinkade release. I loved this old fashioned Skater's Pond vignette! I wanted to create a few cards this time that were simply stamped with no added coloring just to show you that you don't have to color each image for an hour in order to use it! I used Poison Ivory card stock for my base, stamped with Versafine Black using a CHF Victorian Pattern Backgrounder. The black card stock has the CHF Weave Backgrounder stamped on it, though you can see it only at an angle. The focal image is also stamped in Versafine Black ink--one of the better ones for holding detail. (I also had some luck with Versamagic Chalk inks.) I used a ticket corner punch, as well as black mini brads and ivory taffeta ribbon to finish the card off. I love the classy look of black, but this would be a fun card in a Cranberry or Pomegranate ink as well.
I hope you had a great weekend!
