How about a Valentines card tonight? I've been backed up on deadlines and will have some things to show you later this week. I thought I'd do one more card with that simple Scor-Pal lattice pattern that I showed you step-by-step here. You might notice that when you begin with a square rather than a rectangle, the shape and proportion of your lattice is slightly different. Your lattice proportions will always reflect the proportions of your card front. If you use a long narrow card, you will have long, narrow diamonds. If you use a square, you will have square lattice panes.
I stamped the Tart of Hearts stamp in Adirondack Pitch Black ink on PaperTrey Stamper's Select White cardstock, then colored it with the following Copic markers: 0, W1, W3, RV34, R20, and YR31. To get the yellow behind the plate of hearts that pale, I used my clear blender touched to the tip of my YR31 marker. (I'd use my trick of filling an extra clear blender pen with pen with mostly clear blender fluid and a few drops of color, but I need to order another clear blender first.) Background cardstock is Prism Perfect Baby Pink and Black.
I stamped the Lockhart sentiment, be my valentine, in Black Versafine ink and used a Spellbinders Nestability Plain Square to cut and emboss the focal image. Using a Crop-a-dile, I punched 1/8" holes for the 1/8" black grosgrain ribbon to run through and tied a bow. It's been a long time since I used a bow instead of a knot! I thought I'd try it simply because with a narrow ribbon, there was room for a bow.
I hope that you have a profitable Monday!
