I played with several things tonight; here's a criss-cross pocket card for you. It's very simple--cut SU's Ginger Blossom designer paper into two 11" x 4-1/4" pieces, scored and folded in half, then trimmed diagonally and overlapped. The inside vanilla layer is about 3-3/4" x 5". I stitched the edges so that I didn't need to worry about brads or tape. I used Sepia Versafine ink to stamp the images from Embrace Life, then watercolored the flowers after popping one up with a dimensional. When I was almost finished, I decided that they flowers weren't quite the right color, so I grabbed a coral Prismacolor pencil, a blending stump, and Gamsol to warm up the too-cool pink.
I finished it with Groovy Guava stitched grosgrain ribbon; I have to confess that I like the River Rock ribbon slightly better, but I figured I'd better get going on using the GG ribbon if I'm going to finish it off by July. :-D The larger birthday sentiment is from SU's Hugs and wishes set, and the smaller one on the tab is from Verve Visual's Wonderful Wishes Remixed.
Have a great Saturday!
