How about a little scalloped card tonight? I cut this card base with a Spellbinders Nestability Scalloped Rectangle die (size: 4" x 3-1/4"). Mat layer is cut with a plain nesting die from Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie paper--my new favorite Spring paper! (I used pieces from the 8" x 8" pad here.)
Image is a Lockhart image, Ranunculas. I used a Spellbinders oval die to cut , emboss, and mask the oval, then airbrushed a pale aqua (BG11) in the background with my Copic Airbrush System. I stamped the ranunculas on Neenah Natural White cardstock, colored them with Copic markers in the colors shown on the left, and then trimmed around them before mounting them on the airbrushed oval. Tiny thanks sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's Mixed Messages set, and ribbon is PaperTrey's Aqua Mist Satin.
I added three little pink twinkle stickers for some extra sparkle, as well as using my clear and melon Spica glitter pens to add shimmer to the flowers and stems. (You can't see that part in the photo, but glitter pens definitely add. As always, if you would like to see a picture in more detail, click on it for a larger version.)
I love Spring, and I can't wait until it gets here--just trying to help it along. . . Thanks for visiting!
