Here's a set that I haven't had out in quite a while--SU's Never Ending Joy. I used an old technique as well. (It must have been old friends night. . .) I stamped the tulips and stems in Versamark ink on Poison Ivory cardstock, then chalked them in with Pebbles Shimmery Pastel Chalks. The card base is Poison Ivory, with the large mat layer being Blush Blossom stamped with Aida Cloth and Tres Chic in Pretty in Pink ink, aged with Aged Linen Distress Ink. The little sentiment is a PaperTrey Mixed Messages sentiment, cut out with SU's Word Window punch. Pearl is the Mocha Gold color.
I used my Spellbinders Nestabilty Petite Scalloped and Plain circle die sets to cut and emboss the focal image and Prism Exclusive China mat. You can see the shimmer of the shimmer chalks a bit better in the close-up photo. I really like the shimmer chalks and am planning to order a jewel-tone set as well one day when I have an order going in. I used a corner rounder on the bottom of the card to tie in with the curvature of the word window punch and the focal point in a circle. You can see the shimmer a bit better in the close-up picture on the left.
Sometimes it's fun to pull out the older toys and play! Thanks for visiting.
