Tonight I wanted to play with my PaperTrey Women of Life set. I was looking for color inspiration when I saw this lovely background paper in my Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie collection; what I like about this paper is that it's just shabby enough to have that "old friend" feeling, without being overly distressed. I loved it with Melissa Bickford's Women of Life set! The tiny butterflies are from PaperTrey's Butterfly Kisses set.
Base cardstock is Neenah Natural White, with mat layers of Prism Medium Rose. I used SU So Saffron mini brads and corner punch, and a Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die for the "hi there" sentiment on front. Ivory satin is May Arts, and linen thread is SU. The ric-rac has a story; the only a narrow ric-rac that I had was baby blue, so I colored it with my Copic YG95 marker to be my grass. (Yes, I love my markers!)
For ink I used Dew Drops in the colors shown on the left: Pink Grapefruit, Thatched Straw, Mango Madness, and Tea Leaves. I really like the coverage that chalk inks give for acrylic stamps. I used my Antique Linen distress pad and a sponge to age the paper, cardstock, and envelope edges just a tiny bit.
