When Nichole gave us our PaperTrey Ink assignments this month, one particular one stumped me: a Thanksgiving place setting using the new PTI First Fruits set. I loved the set, so it wasn't that. I'm just not particularly a Martha. (No offense to Martha intended!) I love to cook, and I frequently have company over or take meals to people. But I have to confess that my planning goes into the food more than the ambiance. ;-) Even though I put this assignment off until last, I really had fun with it by the time I finished!
Since Nichole is doing a group post of the design team's ensembles, I wanted to share the individual pieces of my Thanksgiving table setting. On all of these pieces I used Vintage Vanilla and Kraft cardstock, and on a couple of them, Dark Chocolate cardstock as well. Inks used were all Versamagic chalk inks: Mango Madness, Pumpkin Spice, Tea Leaves, Spanish Olive, Gingerbread, and Jumbo Java. All ribbons were PaperTrey ink.
Additional accessories were Making Memories Antique Copper Mini brads and a gold paint pen for edging. Spellbinders dies that I used included the Double Ended Tags die, as well as circle and oval Nestabilities. I did a bit of machine stitching on the menu and invitation as well.
The finished size of my folded placecard is 2-1/8" x 3-1/4". I used some stardust Stickles to enhance the pineapple.
The nugget box hold just two Hershey's nuggets, and its box pattern can be found on Chris's amazing box thread .
I can't wait to see all of the other Thanksgiving ensembles! Have a wonderful Sunday, and thanks for visiting.
