A blessed Easter morning to you: He is Risen!
I have a card to share today, but I won't babble for long; I still need to go get my son in bed. I pulled out a few of my older Papertrey Ink sets to work with: Life, Turning a New Leaf, and Mega Mixed Messages.
I inked the flowers with some water-based markers and then misted them lightly with water before stamping them three times. I inked the leaf spray in PTI's Spring Moss ink. Next I used a Spellbinders Long Rectangle Nestability to die cut and emboss my focal image, leaving the die in place to mask so that I could do some Copic Airbrushing with my YG63 and BG11 markers. (BG13 would have shown up a little more; you have to have the lighter values really juicy to airbrush with them.) You can see it better in person than my picture would indicate, for some reason. (It shows up a little better in the close-up version.)
I used a Ribbon Tags Trio die to cut my Easter Wishes sentiment and added a Hibiscus Burst Satin bow. The little pendant under the Hibiscus Burst Vintage button is cut with one of the smaller dies in the Spellbinders Eyelets Pendants set. It occurred to me that these might make lovely little button mats, so I thought I'd try it.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter! Thanks for visiting.
P.S. I almost forgot! I have a card posting later this morning on the CLASSroom blog too, using this Hero Arts Large Flower stamp--super fun to color!
