I've been busy as a bee stamping with my new Papertrey Ink stamps for April! Today I am privileged to help introduce Nichole's Year of Flowers: Sweet Peas set, which will be available at midnight on April 15. I have three different pieces for you, two standard cards and a gift card.
First I have a crisp, clear card using the Copic markers in Papertrey's Hibiscus Burst trio, New Leaf trio, and Lemon Tart trio, along with a BG0000 for a background tint. I used the clear card base along with Stampers Select White and Aqua Mist cardstock. Buttons are Hibiscus Burst Vintage Buttons. (Copic markers are pictured below.)
I also finished the inside of the card using Year of Flowers: Sweet Peas, as well as Communique Sentiments from a a previous release. The little Aqua Mist rick rack is cut with Papertrey's Rickrack Border die--one of my favorites!
Next I have a paper-pieced gift card and envelope for those of you who don't like to color quite as much as I do. I used the 2008 Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper and added just a tint bit of marker for some shadows, but you could do without that if you really are averse to coloring! I loved how this little card turned out; I used Lisa's Argyle set in the background, along with Perfect Plum and Lavender Moon.
Finally, I have one more Copic-colored card, a 5-1/8" square card using YOF: Sweet Peas and the Fancy Flourishes background. The Copic markers that I used are shown below.
