Today I have a pink dahlia card to share with you. I reached back for the stamping roots on this one--no patterned papers--just stamps. :-)
I started with Papertrey Ink's Delightful Dahlia set, as well as Background Basics: Text Style 2 and Background Basics: Petal Power. I chose Hibiscus Burst for the background cardstock and stamped on it with Raspberry Fizz ink.
The dahlia and leaves were first die-cut with Papertrey's Dahlia dies, and then stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Copic markers from Papertrey's Hibiscus Burst Trio, Spring Moss Trio, Y35, and T1. Yes, I love to color!
For the square background behind the dahlia, I used a Spellbinders Classic Square die to cut, emboss, and mask while I airbrushed some Copic B12 in the background; it's just barely there, but it gives a bit of atmosphere. Ribbon is PTI's Raspberry Fizz, and button is a Ripe Avocado Vintage Button. This card is smaller than a standard A-2--it's 3-7/8" square to fit a 4" square envelope. That's it for today--thanks for stopping by!
