Today I have a sketch card for you using Mercy Kerin's MTSC68 Sketch--thanks for inviting me to play along with your fabulous group this month, Mercy!
For a focal image, I started with a JustRite Thinking of You Borders and Centers image (which fits the large oval wooden stamper), and some papers from a K&Company TC Blossomwood Mat Pad. The colors were strong and unusual, so it was a bit of a challenge to pull the paper colors in. Still, I liked them, and I wanted to try it.
I ended up stamping the focal image in Adirondack Red Pepper ink, and then using a Spellbinders Classic Oval die to cut and mask it, airbrushing some Copic BG72 and R05 into opposing corners. I added a few rhinestones for accents and then pulled out one of my newer toys, the i-top Brad Maker by Imaginisce. I've always liked the look of covered buttons, and the i-top basically makes covered brads using whatever paper you choose to coordinate with your project. Other Spellbinders dies that I used were a Classic Circle Nestability and a Long Rectangle Nestability.
Do you have time to play along with some sketches this week? You can post a link here on Mercy's blog if you play. If you need some inspiration, check out Mercy's Muses listed below. Thanks for stopping by!
