This week's CPS 166 sponsor was JustRite Stampers. I was in a vintage mood and chose a newer set to work with, the Appliqué Border set, thinking that the squares of the set would fit well with Sketch 166.
I stamped the image and border twice on cream cardstock in Memento black ink and colored the inside with Copic markers (Y21, YG11, and W1) For the border I used two Spellbinders Nestability dies, a plain square and a scalloped square, leaving the dies in place while I airbrushed some Copic Y23 on the border.
On the ring inside the image I glued down tiny rhinestones. I used Ranger Matte Accents so that any over-glued area wouldn't show, and a pair of needle-nosed tweezers to place the rhinestones, very carefully. I paired the Applique focal point with a Cosmo Cricket Everafter paper, Something Old. Ribbon is May Arts ivory silk--some of my favorite to tie.
