Hello! Today I have a jar of daisies to share in an over-sized (5" x 7") card. I started with two Papertrey Ink stamp sets, Friendship Jar and Friendship Jar Fillers, stamping the images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloring with the Copic markers shown below.
In anticipation of someone asking about a white marker for the daisies, there is no such beast. (There is a product called Opaque White, a paint that you can use to add highlights after you finish coloring something; but it isn't the same as a "white marker." Tip: The simplest way to define a white object with marker is to color the negative space around the white object. The daisies are basically the color of the paper, though I added a few soft shadows on petals that were overlapped by other petals. I didn't think through the whole "how-high-is-the-water-in-the-jar-issue" before I finished coloring, so I guess we'll say that it goes to the bottom of the brim. (I know--"THINK before you color!") Still, I was pleased with how this one turned out.
Patterned papers are from two Cosmo Cricket lines, Garden Variety (Sunshine) and Material Girl (Measuring Up). Buttons and Rustic Twine are both Papertrey Ink products.
Have a daises and sunshine day!
