Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a JustRite Stampers Christmas in July Blog Hop. If you take as long as I do to make cards, you'd better be getting started pretty soon anyway!
I used one of the new JustRite Stampers Christmas sets, Hearts Come Home 2" square, for my focal image and frame. After experimenting with several patterned papers, I settled on a a simple white card to showcase the image best.
I used Shimmery White cardstock matted in Shimmery Gold, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Filigree Detail Gold embossing powder The layered dove is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with the Copic markers shown below. I very carefully colored the pale blue green on the gold embossed layer, avoiding touching the embossed line since Copic marker can dissolve all embossing powders except for clear.
I used three Spellbinders dies, a Plain Square Nestability, a Labels 1 die, and a Lattice Borderability die . I used a gold paint pen to outline the labels one die cut as well as the square of the card front. That metallic gold cord is some Stampin' Up cord, the elastic kind. (Their older, non-elastic kind is much easier to tie a triple bow with--trust me on this one!) Finished size of this card is 4-1/4" square.
