_______________
I’m thrilled to share the S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Templates with you. First I have a tea pot card and gift set.
As soon as I saw the curves on the S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Template, I knew that they would be a perfect fit for the teapot handle in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Afternoon Tea and Afternoon Tea Sentiments stamp sets. I chose a Girls Paperie paper (Paper Girl), and a sheet from my Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Mini Deck, along with my Long Classic Rectangles Nestabilites Set.
Before I started cutting paper, I custom dyed some white seam binding with a zip lock bag, Copic Colorless Blender, and Copic YR23 Various Inks. I put about four feet of seam binding into the bag, squeezed in a few drops of colorless blender to get the seam binding damp, and added several drops of YR23 ink. (Seam Binging was 100% rayon, woven edge, Hug Snug.)
Then I zipped the bag and squeezed it thoroughly until the ink was evenly distributed. Next I removed the pale yellow seam binding from the bag and scrunched it in my hands until it was dry—about a minute.
For the tea bag covers I used a strip of the yellow gingham paper, a stamped tag cut/embossed with one of the S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Templates, a snippet of ribbon, and a black button and string.
For the box cover, I used two S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Templates, as well as the small Long Classic Rectangles (both plain and scalloped) with a bit of machine stitching to create the base. It does not wrap all the way around both sides of the box, so I scored the rectangle in two places to make sure it would lie flat against the box and used some Scor-Tape to attach it to the box. As before, my S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Templates cut/embossed the focal point and its mat shape.
I used an S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Template on the card front, as well as the large Long Classic Rectangles (both plain and scalloped).
The teapot is colored with the Copic markers shown here and then trimmed very closely. (I used a craft knife to trim inside the handle; trimming the inside first helps to keep the handle from tearing. You can use small scissors to trim the outside.)
Next I have a card to share. I chose the Cherry Blossoms set from Flourishes, LLC for my focal image here and cut/embossed with a S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Template. Paper is more of the Girls Paperie line, and seam binding is dyed with Copic Various Inks as on the tea set above.
I love my S4-290 Labels Fourteen Die Templates; they are elegant and work beautifully with other existing die templates as well. Think of a long oval nested inside Labels Fourteen, or a Labels Eight die on the outside of it—so many possibilities!
