Finally--the weekend! Michigan students start school late, after Labor Day. As a home schooler, I could have started earlier, but for various reasons didn't. That meant that this was that "get-back-in-gear" week for my fifth grader, and it's been akin to pulling teeth a few times this week. I'm not sure which of us was happier that it was Friday. . .
Today I pulled out an old friend in paper, Cosmo Cricket's Everafter line. I chose JustRite's Give Thanks Nested Frames and Occasions set as my focal image, thinking that the frame went well with the paper.
Next I looked through my rhinestone stash to see if I had anything orange left--no such luck. I did find a topaz-colored swirl, however, which I knew would be simple to alter with a Copic marker. (Rhinestone swirl is Zva Creative CRS-02CB-111.)
See? That YR09 did the job in no time flat. I didn't color the edges, just the tops with a couple of swishes of the broad tip.
The next thing that I ran into was that the Spellbinders Long Rectangle Nestability that I thought would fit just right was too long. So I cut it in two passes, placing my die correctly on one end at a time and cutting and embossing the ends separately.
Pretty sneaky! ;-)
The ribbon is a piece of 1/4" white silk, dyed with a Copic W3 Various Ink. That's it--one more card down! Thanks for stopping by.
