I wouldn't normally use the same stamp set for two blog hops in a row, but I had several questions about how to get the texture on the mittens, and I ventured into making a video to show you just how simple it is. I used the mitten stamp in the new JustRite Cling Sparky the Snowman set, coloring it with mostly four Copic markers: R22, R29, G21, G28, and a touch of 0 (colorless blender) on the mitten cuff. (You can find all of them here.)
So, here's hoping that my video will work; I'm still a newbie in that area!
In case you don't see the video for some reason, here's a detail view that shows the texture a bit better. I used Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather papers. The green plaid is from the Mini Deck, and the red is a sheet of Deck the Hollies. I also used two Spellbinders dies, the Nested Mittens and Tags Trio small tag(retired, but still in stock in some stores). (For those of you who had asked how the Spellbinders mitten went with the JustRite stamp, here you have it. If you don't mind a larger border, you can use it on the mitten. Otherwise, it makes a great mat layer too.)
Finally, I attached the mittens to the card front loosely so that they could be removed and draped on a Christmas tree branch--double-duty!
