Welcome! I'm in the middle of my next batch of Papertrey Ink release pieces and have a couple of other projects to do too, so tonight I'm sharing an odd card for this time of year--a Valentine or anniversary card. I had made this card for a publication call a few months back and was tickled pink with how it turned out. I was just sure that it was a "keeper." After submitting it twice, well, I guess I was wrong! That's okay--my husband will like it, assuming I can find again it in February. (Don't ask.)
I used Papertrey's Love Songs set, one of my all-time favorite "love" sets. It has classic pop love song words and timeless images. I chose the ice cream cone image and tried to make the cone melt by masking and stamping the ice cream lower on the third cone. Then I used a Copic R01 and R81 to add a puddle of ice cream at the bottom. Shadows are drawn with a Copic T0 and softened with a 0 colorless blender. I dyed natural twill with the R01 and R81 refills\Various Inks. Inks were all Versamagic: Gingerbread, Jumbo Java, and Pink Grapefruit. The white shape is cut with a Spellbinders Labels Eleven die. I used Star Dust Stickles to accent the cones and add drips. That's it--simple! I'll try to have a card in the right season for next post. ;-)
Thanks for stopping by!
