It's Papertrey Ink release time again! For the first of our group posts this month, we each chose an image from the new Tiny Treats: Birthday set (being released on January 15) with which to create either party favors or gifts. I chose this little rocket ship image would be perfect for a boy's birthday party theme.
These are the Copic markers that I used to color the rocket image, all found here. I had a little bit of a challenge to make the lollipop color work with ink and cardstock colors that I had; I tried the B41 in the background first, but it was too cool. Next I added the BG11 over the top of the B41, and it worked out pretty well for a sky color that would still work with the lollipops.
For a little card, I stamped the label die (part of the Tiny Treats: Birthday set) in Ocean Tides ink on an Aqua Mist background and trimmed that layer by hand and so that I could use the coordinating die to cut a mat layer from Ocean Tides cardstock. I added Prisma Glitter to the starts using a Quickie Glue Pen.
The Tiny Treats series has always been one of my favorites, and I'm happy to have this birthday version in my "tool stash" now! How about more birthday party ideas? Be sure to check out these blogs, and thanks for stopping by!
