Welcome! I have another Papertrey Ink Anniversary challenge card for you tonight, and this one's a bit out of my comfort zone; you can learn more about the Think BIG Challenge and prizes here on Nichole's blog. Essentially, this challenge involved using a BIG element. My tag card base is 3-1/2" x 5", and my flower is almost 2-3/4" across--that's bold for me!
The Melon Berry Wool Felt flower was really simple to construct. I first die-cut a large circle. (I'm guessing that it was a 3" circle.) Next I just spiral-cut the felt as shown here--I winged it on the cutting, though I did go back and clean the little pointy parts a bit before attaching the felt to the Gluber. (A Gluber is one of Cosmo Cricket's new really BIG glue dots. You could also use the wide Scor-Tape, if you have that on hand.)
I started my flower on the outside and worked in toward the center, pressing the bottom edge of the felt to the gluber and tilting the top edge up as I wrapped--I hope that makes sense!
Back to the tag card, I used a sentiment from the PTI Blooming Button Bits set, die cut with a Double Ended Banners die. Other PTI dies that I used were Bookmark Topper (for the hole piece at the top of the tag card), the larger leaf from the Delightful Dahlia Collection, and the Edgers #1 Collection.
Papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-Licious Mini Deck, and pearl flourish is from Zva Creative (PE-03CA-113). I think that's about it--be sure to check Nichole's blog to see what today's anniversary contest and prize are, okay? Thanks for stopping by!
