I finished my second Mother's Day card last night--now to get one in the mail today! I started with a lovely sheet of patterned paper that combined yellows, rosy reds, chartreuse greens, and pale pinks, but it wasn't working out. I had already put enough time into coloring my focal image that I planned to use it, floral paper or no floral paper!
Stamps that I used were all Papertrey Ink: Button Boutique, Love Lives Here, Friendship Jar: Spring Fillers, and Tiny Tags. Paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness Mini Deck. (Rabbit trail alert: have you seen the previews of Cosmo Cricket's new Odds and Ends line? I can't wait to get my hands on it--it's just my speed!)
These were the Copic markers that I used to color the tulips in the button frame--all PTI Copic combos, found here. I used a couple of pieces of Judikins Eclipse Tape to mask off the edges of the button frame before stamping the tulips.
That light pink crystal butterfly trail is a tiny piece of a Zva Creative pink flourish (CR01CB131). Buttons are PTI Raspberry Fizz Vintage Buttons. I used three Papertrey Ink dies as well: Button Card Collection, Love Lives Here Collection, and Tiny Tags. Ribbon is Hibiscus Burst Grosgrain.

On a different note, I have started a new blog--that's what you do when you have too much free time. (Just kidding about the free time part!) Seriously though, I have worked on several pieces lately for some new Copic responsibilities that aren't paper crafting related, and it seemed simplest to have a separate home for the non-paper crafting posts. I won't be posting nearly as often there as I do here, but if you are interested in seeing it or being notified when I post there, here is the link to Sketches in Time, my art journal blog. Posts will generally involve Copic markers in some way, but may also include other art-related topics or pictures as well.
That's it for today--thanks for stopping by!
