Mix and match between sets for maximum versatility. The six themed sets combine for over 70 design options!
(If the embedded video is not showing up for you, HERE is a link on YouTube.)
Let me show you how I’ve used them today. With the card below I am introducing the E8-001 Classic Scallop and S4-346 Labels Twenty-Two.
First, I aligned both my Classic Scallop Edger die template, along with its decorative insert, on my patterned paper. I put two small pieces of tape on either end to hold the die templates in place, though you can also use them consecutively rather than together since they are separate parts.
To cut the pale aqua mat layer that you see above, I repeated the same process, except that I cut the scalloped base first, then attached my patterned paper layer to my mat layer so that I would know where to cut my decorative holes. As soon as I had the pieces attached to one another and aligned, I placed the decorative insert inside the same holes that I had previously cut on the patterned paper and then ran the double layer of paper/cardstock back through my Spellbinders Grand Calibur™ Machine. Voilà--perfectly aligned holes! That's what I love most about the new line of Edgeabilities die templates!
Here you can see that the holes that I cut in the striped layer and its mat align. (In the older style border dies, the decorative holes would have been offset rather than aligned.) I also used just the Classic Scalloped Edger die template on both my card base edge and on the rose patterned layer and its red mat.
As for Labels Twenty-Two, it is a lovely shape indeed! I used the #4 Labels Twenty-Two die template to cut and emboss my focal image, leaving it in place to airbrush a sky background with a Copic BG23 marker and airbrush system. I used the #5 Labels Twenty-Two die template to cut the polka-dotted mat layer for the focal image. Finished card size is 5-1/2 x 5-3/4", necessitating a 6" square envelope for mailing.
I love being able to cut either a simple border or a decorative border with the Classic Scallop. Remember that the decorative inserts shown below are interchangeable as well, giving you many potential combinations. See bottom of post for all card details.
Shown above is the E8-001 Classic Scallop.
MSRP: $19.99
DIE SIZES:

5: 3-7/8 x 4-1/8"
Now I have one more project for you that uses both the E8-001 Classic Scallop and S4-346 Labels Twenty-Two die templates.
For this piece, I covered a purchased box with some patterned papers and then die-cut a window, as well as creating a window frame and coordinating tag with my Labels Twenty-Two die template set. I used both the edger scallop and a different decorative insert from the Classic Scallop set to create the scalloped border.
