Welcome! Yes, I'm still on that pink kick, but at least I switched it up from vintage to clean and contemporary today! ;-) Yesterday Nichole shared a post using Papertrey Ink's Natural Beauties set, the 2012 Stamp-a-faire set, and explaining how to get this set. I had another blogging commitment yesterday, but I wanted to share my spin on Natural Beauties with you today, because this is a really great little set!
The only thing that may not be evident is that I took a craft knife and cut some of the petals on the inside layers of the flower so that I could turn them up slightly and gain some dimension. To ink that sentiment, I started in the center with the Summer Sunrise ink and inked only the bottom half, then I inked the bottom fourth on top of the Summer Sunrise with Simply Chartreuse. Getting a little bit of yellow in the green didn't hurt it any, but I wouldn't try it the other way around. For the top half, I inked Hibiscus Burst just barely overlapping the Summer Sunrise and working my way up to the top. Then I added Raspberry Fizz only on the very top. I didn't contaminate any colors because of the order that I inked them in, if that makes sense.
