Welcome! I have a second Christmas-in-July day for you today using two new JustRite Papercraft sets, Christmas Miracle Ornaments and Christmas Holly Background Stamp.
The Christmas Miracle Ornaments set coordinates with Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2010, 2011, and 2012 die template sets to save you some time cutting out ornaments. And how about that background--pretty sweet, isn't it? I took pictures as I colored mine on Kraft paper. (Click on any picture to see a larger version.)
These are the Copic markers that I used to color the holly leaves (YG61 and YG63).
I used G21 and G24 for the mistletoe leaves, and I used BG93 and BG96 for the pine boughs.
For the berries, I base-colored in R35, then added a shadow on one side/bottom with R39. Finally I used R30 to push a highlight opposite the shadow side. The E55 was used to add background stripes, and the W0 and W2 were used to add shadows around the lace BEFORE I used a white Prismacolor pencil to color the lace. (Do NOT try to use Copic markers OVER colored pencil though; the waxiness can damage your marker tips.)
I used the same Copic markers that I pictured above (except for the BG93 and BG96) to color the ornament. Ribbon is white seam binding dyed with a Copic R24 various Inks (reinker). Would you like to see more projects with both Christmas Miracle Ornaments and the Christmas Holly Background Stamp? Then be sure to see these blogs, and thank you for stopping by today!
