Welcome! Today I have a Father's Day card to share using JustRite Papercraft's Fern Cling Stamps, paired with an older release, Happy Occasion Belly Bands Two Clear Stamps. I had some technique-fun going on with the fern stamp background, all stepped out for you below. I used a Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics A die template (second from largest) to create the impression around the border of my card front. It's a subtle way of "containing" and dressing up the card front a bit.
Here is the Fern Cling Stamp set. (I used just the fern from it since I wanted to create a Father's Day card.)
I started with a quarter sheet of glossy cardstock (Kromecote), and completely airbrushed it with three different Copic Sketch markers (YG03, G94, and a little bit of YR24--"woodsy" colors). Next I spritzed Copic Colorless Blender on the fern stamp and stamped the glossy cardstock to *remove* ink, cleaning it and re-spritzing it after every other stamp impression. Next, I stamped the fern image on top of my base with a couple of different green inks (PTI Ripe Avocado and New Leaf). Stamping both negatively (removing ink from the airbrushed background), and positively (regular stamping with ink) gives depth to the background--almost like a forest floor!
For my card inside, I used more sentiments from the Happy Occasion Belly Bands Two Clear Stamps for my inside sentiment, paired with the fern, stamped, and stamped off a couple of generations.
