Welcome! Today I'm sharing an encouragement card for a friend who's had a really rough time lately. In addition to my sentiment set, MFT's Vertical Greetings, I also used a new die template set for the first time, Spellbinders Hydrangea. Isn't it sweet?
It wasn't difficult either; here you can see that all of my pieces are cut and the flowers (or florets?) are attached.
Here I've started stacking the layers. I have two layers left to add. Seriously, this is manageable. . . ;-)
I wanted a simple frame for my sentiment, so I chose to cut and emboss a piece of Kraft cardstock with my Pierced Rectangles die templates, along with A-2 Matting Basics B for the inside of the frame. For the darker pink mat, I used A-2 Matting Basics A, and for the outer rim of the light pink background, I used 5 x 7 Matting Basics A. Cardstock colors are Pink Lemonade (MFT, Cotton Candy (MFT) Hibiscus Burst (PTI), Kraft (PTI), Limeade Ice (PTI), and Stampers Select White (PTI). I used the following inks: Cotton Candy and Razzleberry (MFT), as well as Chai Distress ink and Simply Chartreuse inks (PTI--to tint the leaves).
I left my Hydrangea simple, adding only a touch of glitter with a glue pen in the floret centers. I dyed white seam binding with a Copic reinker for the ribbon--easy! Finished card size is 5 x 7. That's it for today--I hope you have a great weekend!
