Welcome! It's release night (or day, depending upon where you live) at MFT Stamps, and I have one more card to share from the January release. This month is a little crazy in that between CHA and teaching Copic classes in both Anaheim and Orlando, I'm away from home for almost half of January. (If you're going to be away from the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, however, January is not a bad time to be away!) All of that to say that I'm hoping to get more January projects created this month, but my schedule is sporadic at best.
So. . . how about that Cheeky Monkey? When I saw the sentiment pair "Swing by some time soon" and "I miss hanging out with you," I knew that I had to take the remaining watercolored Leafy Greenery die cuts that I'd used on a Sweet Safari card last week to create a jungle and vines for this little dude to swing on. And the camo background? Let's just chalk it up to an Upper Michigan fashion statement. . . ;-)
Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color the Cheeky Monkey image. I paper-pieced his shirt from the Painted Prints Citrus 6 x 6 paper pack, then shaded the left edge of the shirt with warm gray Copics.
The camo background is made with the Distressed Patterns stamp set from last month, along with some Kraft and assorted green inks (all linked below). (It's actually a little more subtle now that the ink is completely dry.) Here he is from above. . .
