Welcome! Today I'm playing along with an MFT Sketch Challenge, WSC264. If you'd like to play too, details are HERE on the MFT Blog.
I had purchased the Adorable Elephants stamp set several weeks ago and hadn't had time to pull it out yet, so I knew what set I wanted to try to work into the sketch. I turned the sketch up on its end and enlarged my circle element enough to hold the elephant image--but it's close enough to count anyway!
Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color this adorable elephant. I used a gray and a black 0.3 Copic Multiliner to sketch some loose shrubbery behind him, just to add some depth to my little scene.
I stacked the two balloons after coloring them, and then I decided that the back balloon would probably show through the front one and added some pink to the lower left part of the blue balloon. So, do you want to hear the funny part now? I colored the grass--yes, the grass, as in the simplest part of the picture--THREE times. . . and I forgot to put the shadows back in when I colored it for the third time! Don't ask--wasn't a good coloring evening. . . ;-)
I hope that you'll get a chance to play along with the MFT WSC264 Sketch some time this week! Thank you for stopping by,
