Welcome to Day Four of the My Favorite Things Stamps March Release Countdown! Do you like Chinese food? I love it, and sometimes my teenager humors me and asks to eat at our local Chinese restaurant. When I saw the MFT Good Fortune stamp set, I knew I wanted to make a card reminiscent of Chinese takeout!
I used the silver foil cardstock for the handle, and white birch adhesive backed sheet for the chopsticks. The fortune cookies are just die cut from Natural cardstock and then sponged with distress ink; one of them is stuffed with a fortune that can be pulled out and pushed back in place. I airbrushed the background lightly with a Copic BG05 marker, and then spritzed a scrap of burlap with Colorless Blender and laid it on the airbrushed area to create texture. Could be a fun set, right?
As always during release week, the new items shown will be available on release evening, Tuesday at 9pm, Eastern, on March 7. Links for new supplies at the bottom of the page will work then; all other links should work now. Thank you for stopping by tonight, and I hope you get a chance to visit the MFT Stamps Blog for a complete list of participants in today's release blog hop, as well as for information on how to enter the prize drawing on the MFT Stamps Blog!
