Welcome! Yes, I told you yesterday that I needed a butterfly intervention. (And you thought I was kidding!) Once I started playing with the oxide inks and butterflies, I had a hard time stopping. For today's My Favorite Things WSC328 sketch challenge card, I tried using Sweet Tooth cardstock for my background rather than watercolor paper since I was heat- embossing a more detailed stamp. I found that it worked fine, IF I didn't scrub at the watercolor washes very much. (If you overwork your washes, the paper will start peeling.) I also had a little bit of buckling, but it's not bad. Normally when I have buckling, I leave my sheet of dry cardstock sandwiched in between the plates of my die cutting machine overnight. That pretty much flattens anything!
Here's the sketch: remember that you can always change the orientation, flop the elements, enlarge or reduce them--whatever works for you!
While I used Worn Lipstick and Spicy Marmalade oxide inks again, I used a more water than I did on my Release Replay card, so it has a softer look. I loved how the Wavy Coloring Book background turned out!
