Joy: MFT Release Day 3

Welcome to day three of the My Favorite Things Stamps October release countdown--Tuesday is the big day! Today I'm sharing a card that would be pretty simple to replicate assembly line style. . . not that any of us ever need to do that around December 21. . .  

I used the Joy Die-namics, paired with the Let It Snowflake Too Die-namics (which is a free with $60 purchase die set this release). I also used the new Cross-Stitch tag Die-namics (without the cross-stitch panel) and some older patterned paper, the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Kraft Collection. For the background, I used the Scattered Surface Background stamp in Chili Powder ink on a Cherry Crisp cardstock. 

I used Glossy Accents on the "Joy" to help it stand out--you can see it a bit better from this angle.

Welcome to Day 4 of the My Favorite Things Stamps October Release Countdown!  Today I've chose Happy Pawlidays to share. It's hard to beat the cuteness factor of a puppy, isn't it? 

Shown above are the Copic Sketch markers that I used to color the Happy Pawlidays images.

I airbrushed my kraft background behind the puppy with a Copic B06 for the wall, and the sketched in the floor with a 0.3 Black Multiliner before coloring the floor with Copic E40’s.

A Brrr-fect Friend: MFT Release Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of the My Favorite Things Stamps October Release Countdown! I've been traveling a lot this month, and I got home Sunday afternoon--just in time to play along with this month's MFT Stamps release. I chose the Polar Pals set to share today, mostly because it's so cute and has a ton of possibilities!

Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color the Polar Pals images. I airbrushed the sky with a Copic BG01 and the water with a Copic BG04.

I used the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics to cut Smooth White cardstock for the snow, then added shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella, as well as an edge of White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops. It still seemed to need something so I tried using three different sizes of Sparkling Clear Sequins to be my ice along the shore; I liked how that part turned out. Polar Pals was a really fun set to play with!

Giving Thanks: Reverse Confetti September Release

Welcome! Today I'm sharing a card from Reverse Confetti's September Release. This one's pretty clean and simple, but that sweet wreath from Fall for You doesn't need a lot of accessorizing to look Fall-ish!

Besides the basic wreath, Fall for You has several smaller pieces that can be layered to change the look of the wreath. 

I stamped my wreath in Cocoa Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers on X-Press It Blending Card. Then when I finished coloring and die-cut my image, I lightly airbrushed the image with a Copic YR31 so that the paper would have a cream background. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I Pick You: MFT Release

 

The September My Favorite Things Stamps Release is now live! Tonight I've used a sweet Pure Innocence image from Love You to the Core. She's mostly colored with Copics, but I paper-pieced her jacket with red paper from the Bundles of Blossoms Brights Paper Pack. I airbrushed the background and then lightly sketched in some grass at the base of the bench and at her feet.

Thinking of You Today: MFT Release Day 1

Welcome! The September My Favorite Things Stamps Release is almost here: at 9pm Eastern time tonight (Tuesday, September 5), all of the new products shown in the past few days will be available. 

For today's card, I paired Plentiful Petals with a sentiment from All Smiles. I stamped the flowers and leaves in late Summer colors, and framed them with a Tropical Teal Dome die cut. I lightly airbrushed the background with Copic Y32 and placed a few dots of Key Lime Nuvo Jewel Drops as an accent.

Blessed: MFT Release Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of the My Favorite Things Stamps September Release Countdown! Today I'm sharing a card made with the new Rustic Wildflowers stamp set and coordinating Die-namics, along with the new Blessed & Blessings Die-namics. I airbrushed some Copic BG53 into the background, keeping it darkest in the lower left corner.

Here's my card inside. I tried out my platinum embossing powder for the flower centers as well. (You can see the platinum only at an angle; it's fairly dark--like the graphite in a soft pencil.)

From this angle, you can see a little better than in the top picture that I coated my "blessed" die-cut in Versamark ink and heat embossed clear embossing powder over it. I also used some of the Sea Breeze Nuvo Drops; I have about four colors of these now, and I think I might need a couple more! They're really easy to control, allowing you to put either tiny dots or larger dots. (And you know me and control!) I went out of my color comfort zone to more of a Fall color scheme: the air is feeling Fall-ish here, and my husband has already fired up out outdoor wood boiler. Nippy evenings, football games--Fall is definitely in the air!

Circle of Thanks: MFT Release Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of the September My Favorite Things Stamps Release Countdown! Today I have used the Thank You Circle Frame to frame a tree from the new Modern Trees stamp set.

I masked the scene area so that I could airbrush a couple of rolling hills (YG17) and a sky (BG01), but you could do the same thing with a sponge and ink if you don't airbrush.  I used three of the clear droplets to accessorize, and foam type to put the layers together. Easy!
